When someone takes time to research for best legal service provider in the town, the fees are not the only standard by which they make their choices. They will look at service standard, knowledge, expertise, successful results, reliability, approachability etc. At BVS, it is our policy to offer our client with genuine and expertise advice at a reasonable price.

As a forward-thinking law firm, we believe that our clients should have clear information as to the cost of the legal services they receive so that they can make informed decisions. We therefore offer our Immigration Clients an agreed block fee that most of our clients are comfortable with. This will allow them to understand how much they will be spending on their case.

At the outset, we will explain this verbally and in writing and will make sure that our clients are aware of the cost involved in their matter.

How do we decide the Fee

Our fees are calculated on average estimated time we will spend in your matter. This will depend on the nature of your case and your circumstances. For an example, an application for settlement under 10 years continuous stay route with all necessary documents will be different to an application with all necessary documents on the same route when the applicant has an adverse immigration history and unspent convictions.

The second scenario will require extra time and legal expertise to advise in your application. It is therefore explained that agreed fee of the second application will be higher than the first applicant due to the complexity and extra amount of time we must spend on.

The usual factors we will consider before we offer you a quote :

• The amount of supporting evidence we need to consider
• Necessity of arranging an interpreter
• Your Immigration History and complexity of your circumstances
• Nature of the application
• Whether you apply individually or with dependants
• Necessity of dealing with third parties. E.g. Your Employer, GP, Health Care professionals, School etc.

What included and not included:

Immigration

The fee quoted will include, our initial and subsequent consultation fees, representation fees, fee of all work we will do on your application until it is submitted to the UK Visas and Immigration. If it is an Appeal, fee will cover the preparation of your bundle of documents and submission of the documents to the relevant Tribunal.

Our fees do not include costs related to your matter that are payable to third parties. These expenses are generally called disbursements. These usually include Home Office fees, Immigration health surcharge, Appointment booking fees, Court fees, Expert report fees, Translation / interpretation fees, Expert witnesses fees, Counsel fees. Where these fees arise, it is your responsibility to plan to settle such fees and help us work on your case.

Commercial Conveyancing

We will clearly explain our legal fee for acting on your behalf in your sale or purchase. This will be a fixed fee to offer the agreed services. In addition to that you must bear the fees we need to settle for third parties as part of your transaction. These charges are called disbursements and include, search fees, land registry fees, management company fees, notice for landlords etc. We will however give you an estimate of these charges at the beginning of the matter.

VAT

We do not charge VAT.
